Executive Director and Conservation Ecologist

Janice Gardner joined Sageland Collaborative as an Ecologist in 2018, establishing and leading regional conservation partnerships and community science projects. In 2024, she accepted the role of Executive Director. She is a Certified Wildlife Biologist®️ and holds a Master of Science in Ecology. Janice has over 20 years of experience in the natural resources sector including research, conservation planning, partnership coordination, development, and environmental regulations. In her role, Janice leads Sageland Collaborative's talented team of scientists and communication specialists. She is passionate about Sageland Collaborative's mission and values our partnerships and community.
